Struggling PC Maker to Rival the iPad

CALIFORNIA - The dominance of the increasingly pounding the tablet computer market. Reportedly, the fourth quarter of last year, Apple has sold 15.4 million units iPad. Number of points greater than the sale of PC (Personal Computer).

As reported SFgate, Monday (3/26/2012), all the PC industry that still survive, tablet devices (such as iPad) could be catastrophic. In recent years, PC makers rely heavily on consumer companies to maintain market share is shrinking.

When most of the users started to move toward the edge that can take them wherever they want (mobile), then the presence of iPad could be an answer. In fact, if one considers the iPad as a replacement for the PC also has gush Apple iMac and MacBook as the world's largest PC devices.

"The whole industry is thinking hard trying to find ways to compete with Apple. You can see the fear in their eyes," says Robert Brunner, former head of Apple's design. According to Gartner research, the most amazing part of this era is how the Apple iPad can control (market share) it. In addition, there are many smart phones on the market when the iPhone came out in 2007 and quickly attracted new competitors, especially devices that run on Android operating system.

Apple announced it had sold 3 million iPads new devices within a week after its release. According to the analyst, Piper Jaffray Gene Munster, a third generation iPad product is predicted to be profitable on sales of USD38 billion this year.

Although many new tablets are produced by Samsung, HTC, Motorola Mobility, HP, Dell and others, but the iPad still holds 66 percent market share. Apple's dominance in the segment of the tablet is certainly a blow to PC manufacturers.

Biggest competitor is likely to compete in the computer software is Microsoft's dominance. Reportedly this fall, the software giant is planning to introduce Windows 8. The operating system is a flagship product that is designed to run on both devices, and tablet PCs.
