Flipboard, the iPad application is similar to the design of the magazine, now add the news of LinkedIn, a professional network around the world.

Flipboard previously been integrated with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Flickr.

Liz Gannes of AllThingsD said the new version of Flipboard also released Thursday (06/30/11) Indonesia time tonight or Thursday morning American time, including the renewal of the interface (interface) which makes content easier to browse and read the ongoing story of one story to the next.

Google Releases "Currents" to Compete Flipboard

Google re-provide convenience in terms of information needs. This time through the application of the newly released Google Currents on Thursday (8/12/2011). Currents is an application to explore the famous magazinecontent via Android devices, iPad, and iPhone.

Google Currents seemed inspired, if you do not want to be called "mimic", from Flipboard. Google seems to not want to remain silent with the popularity of Flipboard is only available for iPad and iPhone users.

As quoted from the official Google blog, the California-based company has worked with more than 150 publications that cover the interesting article of more than 180 editions, including CNET, AllThingsD, Forbes, Saveur, PBS, Huffington Post, Fast Company, and many more. Display the article in the Currents is also equipped with photos, even video.

If a magazine or other content (or blog site) your pet is not in Currents, you can add it yourself because these applications can be run with the RSS feed. Each story is presented through a fresh issue of articles, videos, and pictures.

Along with the launch of Currents, Google also has a self-service provides a platform for other publishers who are not in the Currents. Company news in the area, non-profit institutions, or national TV networks who want to develop mobile content can create a brand and design their own website which will be published in Currents.

Currents have been integrated with Google + so that users can share articles or videos to Circle respectively.

This application can be downloaded on AndroidMarket, and (Apple's) App Store. However, today the new Currents can be used by users in the United States.
